Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 19, 2025
MeetLaunch is a Chrome extension that automatically opens Google Meet links when your meetings start. We designed it to work locally on your device and to request only the access needed for core functionality.
1) Information We Collect
- Google Account basic profile (via OAuth): email address and display name, used to identify your signed-in session inside the extension UI.
- Calendar data (read-only): event titles, start/end times, descriptions, locations, and conference (Meet) links, used solely to detect meetings and open the correct link at the right time.
- Authentication tokens: OAuth access/refresh tokens stored locally by Chrome to allow the extension to read your calendar.
2) How We Use Information
- To detect upcoming meetings and automatically open Google Meet links at the meeting start time.
- To show a today’s-meetings view and send a 1-minute pre-meeting notification.
- To maintain your signed-in state within the extension.
3) Data Processing & Storage
- Local processing: All calendar data is processed locally in your browser. We do not operate servers that receive or store your calendar contents.
- No external storage: We do not store personal data on external servers. OAuth tokens and settings are stored locally using Chrome’s storage APIs.
- Retention: Tokens persist until you disconnect/revoke. Any ephemeral “opened-meeting” flags are cleared automatically and not retained long-term.
4) Sharing & Selling
- No sale: We do not sell or “share” your personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
- Third parties: Your data is not shared with third parties. The extension accesses Google services (Google Calendar API and Google Identity Services) strictly to provide functionality.
- Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.

- We use Chrome and Google’s standard authentication flows; no passwords are stored by the extension.
7) Your Choices & Rights
- Disconnect: Use the extension’s “Disconnect” control to remove tokens and stop access.
- Uninstall: Removing the extension deletes local data stored by it.
- Revoke access: Visit your Google Account > Security > Third-party access to revoke MeetLaunch permissions.
- Access/Deletion requests: Because we do not store your calendar data on our servers, requests typically concern local data and tokens; contact us for any questions.
8) Children’s Privacy
The extension is intended for users who are the age of majority in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
9) International Transfers
We do not transfer your calendar contents to our servers. Processing occurs locally in your browser.
10) Google API Services & Limited Use
MeetLaunch’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google data only to provide the features described above.
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. If material changes are made, we will update this page and surface a notice in the extension. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
